How does Smart Mail work?

Smart Mail is an Android email app that simplifies your inbox for a seamless and advanced experience.

The app provides a unified inbox so you can see all of your email accounts across providers in one convenient location! Smart Mail’s AI allows you to prioritize important senders, categorize topics, hear a summary of your missed messages, and compose tone-appropriate responses without typing it yourself.

How will my experience change?

Smart Mail is a replacement for your existing Gmail, Yahoo, and Outlook apps. With a unified inbox, Smart Mail allows you to toggle between an unlimited amount of email accounts across providers, or see them all together in an uncluttered and evolved experience.

How do I add my email account?

You are able to add your email account in the second step of the app’s introduction walkthrough on the screen that says ‘Set Up Your Email Account.’ Once you log in to your email account and grant the app permission to access it, you’re all set!

To add subsequent email accounts, click the plus sign on the bottom bar of your inbox and select which email provider you’d like to add. Now simply follow the instructions to sign in! You’ll see this account added to the bottom bar of your inbox via a Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook icon.

Is Smart Mail safe to use?

Of course! We personally use our own product to guarantee we’re giving our users the safest experience possible.

Smart Mail is a safe and private way to connect Android users to their email in a streamlined and more convenient way. Just like your regular email app, the only person who can log in and view your emails is you!

How do I delete emails?

Swiping right on an email you no longer need or wish to see will remove it from your inbox in Smart Mail:

Gmail: Deleting emails in your Gmail account through Smart Mail does not delete them in your Gmail app, desktop, or mobile site. We archive them for you so you can refer back to them if need be!

Yahoo! Mail, Outlook: If you are using Yahoo Mail or Outlook, deleting emails in Smart Mail will also delete the emails from the Yahoo Mail and Outlook inboxes you access via app, desktop, or mobile site.

I don’t want notifications from Smart Mail.

Smart Mail is a replacement for all of your other email apps. Any notifications you receive are from Smart Mail telling you that you’ve received a new email! Clicking an email notification will take you into the body of that email.

If you wish to limit these notifications, please go to your phone’s Settings and select System > Apps > Smart Mail > Notifications > and toggle your preferences.

How do I uninstall Smart Mail?

We’re sorry to see you go! 

There are several ways to uninstall Smart Mail:

From Google Play-

  • Click the green “Uninstall” button. Make sure you are logged into Google Play with the account you downloaded the app.

 

Manual Uninstall Options-

  • Simply long press on the Smart Mail icon and drag it to the top right corner of your phone. You will see “Uninstall” appear and can drop the icon on top of this.
    • On certain devices you may first see “Don’t Suggest This App” from following the above direction. You will drop the icon on top of there and then repeat the action to see “Uninstall.”
    • If your device does not support the above action, you can uninstall by going to your device’s Settings > Apps > scroll to click on Smart Mail > click the Uninstall button.

How do I cancel my subscription? I would like to unsubscribe from my paid Smart Mail Premium.

If you no longer wish to use Smart Mail’s Premium Features with your monthly or yearly subscription you may cancel it through the Google Play Store. Simply launch the Google Play app and find your ‘Payments & Subscriptions’ settings by clicking your avatar in the top right corner to reveal the drop-down menu. If you still have difficulty or would like to discuss your issue with our team, please email subscriptions@thesmartmailapp.com.

I would like a refund for my Premium subscription.

We apologize if you aren’t completely satisfied with your Premium Subscription experience from Smart Mail.

In order to receive a refund please send an email to subscriptions@thesmartmailapp.com letting us know the email address you used to subscribe. Once we have received this we will be able to cancel your subscription and refund your payment. We will respond with a confirmation once this has been completed.
